As poor as this season has been for this IU Fan... nothing gets the basketball juices flowing like Championship week on ESPN and ESPN2. All the little guys playing their way into the NCAA. Lose in the championship game and no matter what you did during the regular season... you aren't going. Talk about some pressure packed situations. Tonight had some beauties.
MVC - Northern Iowa vs Southwest Missouri State
Double Overtime - UNI wins 79-74 and punches their ticket to the dance!
CAA - George Mason vs Virginia Commonwealth
VCU wins 55-54 and 29 year old Head Coach Jeff Capel (former Duke Player) takes VCU to the Tourney
MAA - Manhattan vs Niagra
Manhattan wins 62-61
And in the Mid-Con... IUPUI and Valpo both won their Semi-finals and will meet tomorrow at 7pm on ESPN assuring Indiana of at least having one team in the NCAA Tourney!
