Hmmmm... in a similar situation to last year when Jim Thomas resigned his assistant coaching position, Ben McDonald announced Wednesday that we was resigning. A few initial thoughts:
This gives Davis a great opportunity to bring in an experienced assistant that can not only help him, but can help the program... best option in my opinion... or...
It gives Davis a chance to hire the High School coach or AAU coach of one of the top 5 recruits for next year in exchange for a commitment... bad decision on so many levels... or...
It gives Davis a chance to reward Dan Block or Dane Fife with a promotion into an Assistant position... bad decision for program... good for Dan or Dane... or...
It gives Davis a chance to get an assistant that is experienced in working with big men and can mentor the new recruits... 2nd best option...
We shall see...
