Pistons 4 - Pacers 2 - Series Over!

I can sum the series up with the following... Basketball I.Q.

The Pacers players don't have it. Stupid plays at the absolute worst time... over and over again!

The talent is there... the brain power is not! Could it be the lack of college experience? Let's see... Jonathan Bender - no college... Al Harrington - no college... Jermaine O'Neal - no college... Ron Artest - 1 year of college...

If I'm Donnie Walsh or Larry Bird... Harrington and Bender are on the block. Bring in some guys that played 4 years of college ball and understand the game!

And the Artest flagrant foul was BS... Rip nailed him in the nuts and Artest raised his forearm while looking directly at the official and Rip ran into it. Ron wasn't even looking at Rip.

What is this "Youth" crap? It wasn't an excuse for Isaiah the last 3 years when they were young. They are older this year... but they sure aren't smarter.

What a painful year of basketball... first IU and their lack of BBall I.Q. Now the Pacers playing the same way. Next year I just may have to go watch High School ball to see some intellegent play.

I couldn't agree more. The flagrant foul was BS. What Ron did is called an "arm bar." It's a simple technique you do when your man is cutting through the lane. It allows you to make contact and slow the cutter down, while not getting called for a push or hold. The contact is supposed to be in the chest. I did think that Rip just ran into him. I don't see a difference between that or being blind-sided by a pick.

The other momentum swing no-call was the Ben Wallace dunk that was really goal tending. When the announcers point it out, you know it's obvious.

As far as Bender on the trading block, who would want him? What could you expect to get?

I forgot about that goal tending no call... that was big.

What could the Pacers get for Bender? Cheaney? The BBall I.Q. points would go up by about 100... too bad age is catching up with Calbert... I still think with the right team, he could have been a 15pt guy his entire career.

You are right though... no one is going to give up anything for Bender or Harrington.
