So Tampa Bay was supposed to play a double header in New York today with the Yankees. Hurricane Frances messed up their travel plans a bit by closing all the Florida airports for the last 2 days. Well this morning, the airports around Tampa were still closed. MLB made the brilliant call that if Tampa Bay can't get to NY in time for today's first game, they will have to forfeit 2 games. HUH????
There is a heck of a battle going on in the AL east between the Yankees and the Red Sox... and MLB is going to give the Yankees 2 wins because Hurricane Frances kept the Devil Rays from getting to NY. What a load of CRAP!
If they don't revise their thinking... the Red Sox nation is going to go insane!

Fortunately cooler heads prevailed and MLB is not going to force TB to forfeit their games today. The Devil Rays were able to leave Tampa around 2pm and will be able to play a 7pm game in NY tonight and move their double-header to tomorrow.
