The best team in baseball all year proved it tonight beating Houston and Roger Clemens to advance to the World Series against the Red Sox.
The Cards got great pitching from Jeff Suppan, Kiko Calero, Julian Tavarez and Jason Isringhousen. Great defense from Jim Edmonds with an outstanding catch to prevent 2 runs in Center Field. And a combination of small ball with Suppan and a suicide squeeze for a run and long ball with Scott Rolen's 2-run HR.
Overall a great performance from a great team. It should be a great World Series.
