So in the last 16 presidential elections when the Washington Redskins had a game the Sunday before Tuesday voting, the outcome of their game predicted the winner.
When Washington won the game, the incumbent won the election. When Washington lost the game, the incumbent lost.
So when Brunell threw that game ending interception and the Packers beat the Redskins 20-14, the Kerry camp jumped for joy.
Maybe Tuesday will be interesting after all.
