IU BBall - Missouri

Mizzou 56 - IU 53

That was painful to watch. Mizzou is less disciplined than IU is. There is no such thing as a bad shot on that team. However, Quinn did get his team to take the ball inside in the second half, where they got IU in foul trouble.

That was Ugly!

I feel for Bracey... that shot to the nose had to hurt. However, IU is a better team without him. IU went on a big run and took a 15 pt lead at the half. IU opened up to 17 early in the second half when Bracey returned and the team fell apart.

That was awful!

Vaden, White and Ratliff had pretty good games. There is a ton of talent there. They just need to learn the game from a good coach.

That was pathetic!

I can't believe that pretty hair boy just outcoached someone. But then again we are talking about Davis... who hasn't outcoached Davis? 1

I will give Davis credit for the play he drew up with IU down 1 with 47 seconds left. They went inside to DJ White for an easy bucket. Good Call! Too Bad he didn't try it a second time at the end of the game.

Glad to see IU spent the off week working on a gimmick 1-3-1 zone with DJ on top. Mizzou proceeded to get a wide open outside shot, an offensive rebound and put back. Then IU went back to man-to-man. Maybe we should focus our practices on position defense and communicating while playing man-to-man, but that's just me.

On the offensive end it was nice to see IU going inside to DJ the first two possessions for easy buckets. Unfortunately that only lasted for 3 minutes, then it became the Bracey one-on-one show with him running the point and taking the majority of the shots. Unfortunately, the other players see Bracey doing that, and then they do it too. Vaden and Ratliff both took quick shots because if they don't, the ball won't get back to them.

I must point out one positive from today... I saw a shot fake... Sean Kline got his man in the air and got to the line by doing it.

We've made it to a low point. I don't ever remember looking at the Big 10 standings and seeing us at the bottom. The very bottom. We have the worst non conference record in the B10. After watching that performance I'm not sure that's not where we'll end up after the conference schedule is over.

The thing that stood out to me was that we are just weak with the ball. How many times did they just take it from us in the 2nd half? Or with just a little bit of pressure we make a weak pass that's stolen.

The frustrating part is I think we have good kids that are talented.
