IU Wins!!! 3-1 in the B10... Give Davis a contract extension!
My that was a painful game to watch. Amaker played for Coach K... you sure would have thought he would have learned a few things. Guess not. Michigan is a team that is less disciplined than IU. They had DJ and Pat in foul trouble all night, yet they didn't go inside to Petway, Brown or Sims. They settled for bad shots and committed 20 turnovers, at least 10 of which were unforced travels.
IU 62 - UM 53
Stat of the game... IU 12 assists and 11 turnovers. Michigan 9 assists and 20 turnovers.
Enough about the game... shame on the IU Students. I was embarrassed. With Ewing and DJ both having 2 fouls with 6 minutes left in the half, Davis sent in Mike Roberts. The crowd, led by the students booed loudly. When Roberts came out 2 minutes later, they cheered. Then a minute later when Sean Kline came in, they booed him even worse. The 3 or 4 times he touched the ball they booed him loudly. They then gave him a standing ovation when he came out right before the end of the half. That is absolutely uncalled for. Here are 2 guys doing everything they are asked to do, despite the fact that this coaching staff has no clue how to utilize them, and their own fans are booing them worse than they booed Michigan players. Pathetic! Davis needed to jump on the PA at the 4 minute TV timeout and chew out the students. We don't Boo our own players. Disgusting.

I didn't get to see the game. I had to be in Lansing, MI last night. The game wasn't televised there so I listened to the Michigan radio network while driving around MSU. I have no idea what happened in the game except Michigan got screwed by the refs. It was absolutely awful. Apparently it was so bad, I should be embarrassed to be a Hoosier. Dugan Fife and his announcing buddy said that several of the calls were "crappy." I also learned that the traditionally unathletic IU keeps extra long nets on the goals in Assembly Hall just so the opposing team can't run their fast breaks. It was so extreme that they make Todd Leary look nuetral.
It was interesting to listen to Dugan because he obviously talks to Dane Fife and I felt like I was really hearing the IU coaching staffs opinion of all of the IU players. "Without Bracey, IU is exttremely weak."
Mike K
Very interesting Mike... There were a lot of questionable calls that went IU's way... especially in the second half.
I can't imagine Dugan being a homer for Michigan... not.
