IU BBall - Wisconsin

What was that? Who put the IU uniforms on the Wisconsin players and vice versa. That was a complete role reversal. IU moved, screened, back-cut, drove to the basket, rebounded and played great defense. Wisconsin settled for 3 pointers and one-on-one moves and played matador defense. That was enjoyable to watch.

Bracey had a big night... not from the 3 pt line where he was 1-6, but from driving to the basket and getting to the line... 11-22 from the field and 7-10... for 30 pts. Good game Bracey!

IU 74 - UW 61

Check out this stat line...

Wisconsin: 18 Turnovers, 5 Assists
IU: 9 Turnovers 9 Assists

That's as close as IU is going to get to a positive assist to turnover ratio. And I bet that is Wisconsin's worst ratio all season.

Also, IU was 23-32 from the free throw line... guys, that is what happens when you drive to the basket and don't settle for 3 pointers.

What I don't understand is why Bo didn't play a lick of zone? Wisconsin is known for playing a decent zone. Can't figure that one out.

The team should really enjoy this win tonight. It was a good one... and yes Mike, the NCAA tourney selection committee will consider this a good win. Only 10 more to go.

On a side note... B10 officiating is a joke. Are they taking pointers from the NBA? What is with the waiting to see if the player makes the shot before blowing the whistle? If he misses... a delayed whistle and a foul, if he makes it... no whistle. That's BS... a foul is a foul... blow the whistle. And what is with Hightower and the theatrics? Has he been taking pointers from Teddy Valentine? Disgusting.

Told you - the clue stick worked! Unfortunately, I wish IU would have sucked - it would make the case for losing Davis a lot easier.
