"Last year, they took some teams who were only four games above .500 but played a tough schedule," Davis said. "Alabama was 17-13 and they (the selection committee) took them because of their schedule."
Mike, I hate to tell you that in order for IU to get to 4 games over .500, you are going to have to go 4-2 the rest of the way and 1-1 in the B10 tourney. Let's say you lose to Wisconsin and MSU, but win the remaining 4. You will be sitting at 16-13 and will have a grand total of ONE win over a team in the top 50 RPI. That won't get you in the NCAA tourney!
"That was a win," he said, "so right now, we're sitting with 12 wins. Talk about seven-tenths of a second, a guy catches it, takes a dribble, turns and shoots. If we can win three or four more, we should be in great shape because I'm counting that win against Charlotte. You guys might not be counting it as a win," he said, "but I am."
Well I have to give Davis credit... this is a new one. So the head coach is going to change an L to a W. Interesting. Maybe he can give all the players participation trophies for playing in the B10 this year."People will say that we had better movement today, but it really just came down to us making shots," Davis said. "When you look at the film, you'll see that we're getting wide-open looks. We've just been shooting a poor percentage."
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is why Davis must go! IU had MUCH better movement on Saturday, and Davis dumbs it down to just making shots. UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!
