He's been the man in charge of Indiana basketball for nearly five years now. But, despite averaging 20 wins a season and leading the Hoosiers on a fairy-tale trip to the Final Four three years ago, Mike Davis is still white-knuckling his way through the post-Bob Knight Era. Even now there are vocal factions of Indiana fans who still support Knight, evidenced by the number of Indiana stores that sell Texas Tech merchandise. Thus far, Mike Davis has survived, but after missing the NCAA Tournament last year and sporting a 10-10 overall record so far this season, the pressure on him to uphold Knight's standards of success are palpable and undeniable. Tonight on OUTSIDE THE LINES, we examine the tenure of Mike Davis at Indiana. How has he dealt with the pressure to succeed Knight, and can he survive another season of mediocrity as the Hoosiers coach. Bob Ley hosts.
Guests include:
Tom Coverdale: Played for both Bobby Knight and Mike Davis at Indiana
Terry Hutchens: Indiana beat writer for the Indianapolis Star
