and I will be in Florida watching the 2nd of 2 Grapefruit league games on Thursday. Ahh... sun, warmth, hotdogs, the crack of the bat, popcorn, pop of the glove, cracker jacks, beer... mmm... can't wait.
Too bad I'm not going to see the Yankees this year... I would've love to have heckled Sheffield over these comments.
Sheffield denies admission he used steroids - ESPN
"When people sit here and say I didn't know I took steroids -- I didn't take steroids," he told the Daily News for Wednesday's editions. "The bottom line is I put rubbing cream on my leg, and if somebody says that's steroids, that's a bunch of hogwash."
Yes, Gary, you are full of hogwash... what do you think was in that cream? Steroids!!!

If I wanted to spend a week down thre can you recommend a good schedule? Do you travel around to different teams or stay put and watch one team?
We travel all over and hit different teams and different stadiums. The best way to plan it out is to take the schedules and create a matrix of games. We first look at where the night games are. There are usually only 1 or 2 night games, so we stake out where those are, then try to find a day game close so we do our driving in the morning and late evening, but not between games.
We are arriving Thursday morning in Ft. Myers and hitting a day game at the Red Sox facility in Ft. Myers, then an evening game at the Twins facility a few miles away. Friday there is a night game at the Braves facility in Orlando, so we are hitting a day game at the Astro's facility in Kissimmee. Overall we are hitting 7 games in 5 days.
This is the 3rd year we've done it. It is an absolute blast.
