I Love Mid-Major Conference Tourneys

What a great night of basketball. Throw out the records for a 1 game playoff... winner goes Dancing and in most cases the loser goes home. Talk about pressure... talk about excitement.

Wisconsin-Milwaukee vs Detroit for the Horizon League Championship

A tough mystery call with 4 secs left gave UW-M 2 free throws and they hit 1 of 2 to set up a potential buzzer beater. Detroit missed an 18 footer at the buzzer and UW-M is going dancing.

Oakland vs Oral Roberts for the Mid-Continent Championship

Oakland, with an 11-18 record was down 2 with 10 seconds left... after dribbling out the clock, they hit Pierre Dukes in the corner who nailed a 3 with 1.3 seconds to go. Oral Roberts' court length inbounds pass was intercepted and Oakland goes Dancing with a 12-18 record while Oral Roberts takes their 25-7 record and probably heads to the NIT.

I wonder how long until Davis comments about how IU should be in with 15 wins if Oakland got in with 12 wins... especially since both teams beat Oral Roberts in a close game.
