So IU gets revenge against NW for that 21 point blowout in Evanston earlier in the year.
IU 77 - NW 55
What a surprise to see IU make the extra pass to get some wide open 3 point shots instead of off balance 3's with a hand in their face. In turn, IU hit 9 of 11 from 3 in the first half. 17 assists to 7 turnovers. See the difference? Roderick Wilmont did most of the damage scoring 16 points in 17 minutes of first half action. Surprisingly, he didn't start the second half and didn't get in the game until 8 minutes left and after NW cut the 18 point lead in half to 9 points. I just don't understand Davis.
As a bonus, IU had a 21 point lead with 3 minutes left and Davis got the 3 seniors in the game. Roberts got an inside bucket on an assist by Mark Johnson and while Tapak didn't score, he did the classy thing in pulling the ball back out with 30 seconds left and dribbled out the clock instead of jacking up a 3.
Thank you seniors for all you did for the program.
