IU 60 - Wisconsin 62
That was not a pretty game, but both teams played hard and grinded out a tough game all the way to the end! IU deserves credit for staying right with Wisconsin. Vaden, White, Ratliff and Wilmont all had great games and kept IU in the game despite Bracey and Marshall not bothering to show up.
The lead went back and forth until Wilmont got the put back on the hustle play to tie the game with 11 seconds left. Then the strange decision by Davis to NOT have White in the game on that last defensive play. I don't get it, your best shot blocker on the bench? In turn you had Ewing, Bracey, Marshall, Wilmont and Ratliff in the game. What happened... Wisconsin scored on an offensive rebound. If Ewing and White are in there, one of them gets that rebound and we have overtime. I don't get that coaching decision at all.
I've never thought Davis to be the right guy for IU and things like this are exactly why. He coached a great game tonight. But one bonehead coaching move cost IU the game. 3 or 4 of those a season and IU will never be an elite team now matter how much talent he can recruit.
