Ahh... It's May! After a very nice brunch with my Mom for Mother's day... it was off to the track for ROP at IMS.
Nothing like living a block and a half away from the track. 10 minutes after walking out the front door... I was in the Bombardier Plaza. Unfortunately, a great crowd at the track gobbled up all the Opening Day pins before I got there.
The Indy Star had a few good articles today. After hearing a radio interview with Joie Chitwood, I really like the new President of IMS. Look out NASCAR... Indy Car is the future!

Oh and I did have 2 run-ins today.
First I ran into Governor Mitch at Brunch. I constrained myself and didn't say anything or physically hurt him. He is a short guy... made me feel rather tall. Then I ran into Robin Miller at the Track. I am constantly amazed that he still has a job.

speaking of Patrick how 'bout Mr Mark Patrick (Irritatus Maximus) is now on XM radio. Yes Mark is back. I once had a nightmare where I was strapped to a chair by terrorists and forced to listen to a continual feed of Patrick yapping with a "sir I gotta go" feed looping in the backdrop.
