Sad for Buddy, but great for Kenny!
Buddy got the Rahal ride and in turn an Indy 500 victory because of Kenny's accident in Texas in '03. Now Buddy's accident at Indy in '05 has opened the door for Kenny to get another shot at a second Indy title.
After 5 laps, Kenny had run a 220 lap and by 14 laps was over 225 and within 2 mph of the pole speed on Wednesday.
