The nice thing about the Pacers and their current depth, is that they don't have a specific need. They can sit back and let the draft come to them and take the best player on the board. That player won't be expected to start next year and can learn Carlisle's system. The Pacers have gotten some solid players the last few years that way with Freddie and James Jones.
If I were Bird I would take Bracey Wright. I mean he is half of the best backcourt in the country according to Mike Davis. He is the "Help" in the "Help is on the Way!" comment. The guy has Reggie range... just not Reggie accuracy. Just kidding. I wish Bracey well, I'm just afraid it will be overseas. Davis didn't do a darn thing to help Bracey... in fact he hurt him.
Off to Boston to see the Red Sox Wednesday night... oh yeah and some work while I'm out there this week.
