Davis Lands Ivan Renko...

Or is Cem Dinc real? Pronounced Jim Dench... go figure those Turkish names.

Surprise! Dinc commits to give boost to Hoosiers - cbssportsline.com

So far no one has seen this kid play. So he is a big question mark. But word is that he has been playing with Hedo Turkoglu of the Orlando Magic and Mehmet Okur of the Utah Jazz on the Turkish National team. That can only be a good thing. He's 6'10" and 245 and is qualified to play this year. The only question is will he be academically eligible? His Turkish National team plays up through Sept 25th. So Oct. 1st is probably the first day he could be on campus. That sure would put a Freshman behind in the classroom. We'll have to keep an eye on this one.

My big concern... the comment from Cem in the article... "Dinc said IU coach Mike Davis has promised him a shot at small forward." Guess that means he's not a banger inside. Great. Davis promised Allen he would be a 3 point specialist. Davis promised Killingsworth he would play the Wing and now Dinc at the Small Forward. I guess that means IU's 7 guards will be fighting for time at Center to go along with White at Power Forward.

I think that means, "Preach on, Brother Steve!"

Or perhaps you can type Turkish just by pounding on the keyboard.
