Myles at it again!

Are you kidding me????

NCAA bans some mascots at tourneys - IndyStar

What about those poor Wildcats?? I sure hope PETA starts talking to Myles so he can ban the "hostile and abusive" nature teams portray those poor kitty cats.

I wonder if Trojans and Spartans are offended? I'm sure someone will channel some spirits and determine that they are offended.

As a Hoosier, I am offended that the current IU Basketball team is referred to as Hoosiers. Until Davis is gone, I think they should refer to themselves as something else. The IU #4 seeds would be a nice change.

Boy I just love this wonderfully Politically Correct world we now live in... NOT!

And this tidbit thrown in at the end of the article...

The board also approved a two-year contract extension for Brand. His deal was to run through Dec. 31, 2007 and now includes an indefinite two-year rollover.

Woo Hoo!!! College Sports are DOOMED!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Doomed I tell you!

I just thought up 3 unsavory team names after about 30 seconds of thought...

Trojans -- that needs to be banned, it's the name of a condom. It implies sexual activity. It runs counter to the pro-abstinence movement. Remove at once!

Boilermakers - it's the name of an alcoholic drink, can't be having that in the NCAA. Ban that name immediately.

Buckeyes - these are poisonous nuts. Consumer safety advoactes should jump on this one. Imagine all those OSU fans eating Buckeyes in support of their team and kicking the bucket. Major liabilty issue, out with it I say.

A Cardinal is a religious leader. Having a sports team which receives public funds named "Cardinal" is a violation of the separation lof church and state! Change it!
