Mitch's IU Trustee Appointment

Thanks Mitch!!! We IU Alums really appreciate your help.

Some seeing red over IU trustee selection
- Indystar.com

He appointed former Reilly Industries CEO Tom Reilly Jr. as an IU trustee.

Reilly was in charge of a chemical company that pleaded guilty for its role in vitamin price-fixing and was fined $2 million in 2000. And the company also has rung up about $100 million to clean up polluted sites in several states.

Reilly, who retired about three years ago, said he did not know of the scheme until after an internal probe. He would not discuss the investigation's findings.
Both Reilly and David Shane, who is the governor's top aide for higher education, said the company's guilty plea doesn't affect Reilly's ability to be a trustee. The company acknowledged its role, paid its fine and strengthened its internal controls. Those are "exactly the kinds of things people should engage in when these circumstances come up," Shane said.
Great choice Mitch!!! Maybe you could also find a job for former Tyco CEO Dennis Kozlowski, and Ex-WorldCom CEO Bernard Ebbers, and how about former HealthSouth CEO Richard Scrushy? He didn't do anything wrong. How about a quick consulting gig for Former Enron chairman Kenneth Lay before his 2006 court date. Brilliant Mitch!
