I find this satellite image interesting.
8/31 Satellite Image of New Orleans - Indystar.com
From this, you can see the areas of New Orleans that are flooded. The City Center from the Convention Center to the Super Dome, and the poor areas to the North and East of the Downtown area.
You can also see that the Historic French Quarter doesn't have any water, nor does the Garden District. I find it interesting that the Media is not talking about either area at all. Are the Police guarding/patrolling both areas? The New Orleans Money is in the Garden District and the Tourist future is in the French Quarter. I look forward to hearing more about these 2 areas.
