Gov. Mitch Daniels issued a statement calling the decision -- which would move St. Joseph County to the Central time zone and leave its social and economic neighbor to the east, Elkhart County, in the Eastern time zone -- "obviously unworkable."

Mitch, why is this "obviously unworkable?" Because you promised that all 92 counties would be on Central time if the DST bill passed? Or the fact that you said it would be up to the counties to decide their fate?

I think Rep. Bauer said it best.

House Minority Leader B. Patrick Bauer, D-South Bend, called the situation simply "screwed up."

And to think we could have just left everything alone and been 1 of 3 states that has the whole time thing CORRECT!
