Sources indicate tonight that Indiana will hire Sidney Green, an NBA 10-year veteran and former head coach of Florida Atlantic, to fill the open assistant coaching position left vacant by Thad Fitzpatrick's departure in August.

Green's coaching resume at Florida Atlantic spanned six years at the school where he compiled a 54-121 record. He was fired this past spring after a 10-17 season and replaced by former North Carolina head coach Matt Doherty.
