My how times have changed. Not only is this game not on TV, but it is not on Radio here in Speedway either. I remember when the red-white scrimmages were televised.
At least there is the Internet. CSTV.com has a gametracker that provides a bit of information, score, stats and a scroll of recent plays. And thanks to some Southern Indiana fans who posted their hometown radio station's web site, http://www.worxradio.com/ from Madison Indiana, I was able to hear Don Fischer and Todd Leary for the second half. Not that it was much of a game. But I still like the NCAA giving these Div II schools the chance to play exhibition games in a Div I arena instead of those BBall Shoe All Star teams.
It sounded like IU tried to play more up tempo and they certainly scored more points than they have at any time in the previous 2 years. But one concern at the Defensive end is the lack of rebounding. This was a huge problem last year. Being outrebounded 49-38 by a DII school who's Center was 6'8" and 2 forwards were 6'5" and 6'4" respectively is not a good early season sign. Giving up 19 offensive rebounds... keep an eye on this stat. Good teams will eat IU up with the 2nd chance opportunities.
