Overton Earns PGA Tour Card - iuhoosiers.com
What a grueling 6 days of golf. I watched a bit of this on the Golf Channel over the weekend. Talk about pressure. And for Jeff to get his tour card on his first attempt out of College. VERY IMPRESSIVE!
Good Luck Jeff! Do IU Proud... bring home another Major from an IU alum.

I think it's great that Jeff earned his PGA card, but I had to laugh when you said "What a grueling 6 days of golf." I never thought of it that way, but I guess golf can be grueling! In my mind, "grueling" is usually reserved for marathons, football games played in sub-zero weather on Lake Michigan, or a speech by W. ;)
I'm curious - do you think golf is IU's next big hope, sports-wise? With football rebuilding, our soccer stars going pro, our obvious men's b-ball problems, and recent changes in the baseball and women's b-ball coaching staffs, what do we have to look forward to from IU athletics?
(BTW, I've heard from one of the women's b-ball players that she really likes their new coach, so maybe good things are ahead for that program.)
Sorry Anna, I should have been more clear... "Mentally grueling" ;-)
Having played competitively up until College, the mental side of golf will exhaust you. I can only imagine the stress when you are talking about 6 days of golf with the outcome meaning you will be playing on the PGA Tour with sponsorship in the 6 figures or Playing on the junior tours and making $20K.
But you are correct, a W speech is much more grueling.
And the second part of my question, about where IU athletics is going...??
Whoops, sorry - some of us have work to do. I forget that, sometimes. ;)
I thought that was a rhetorical question... if you really want an answer... one word...
Toilet!
