The Dodgers have been busy this offseason.
First they fired manager Jim Tracy and general manager Paul DePodesta. They hired Ned Colletti from San Francisco to be their General Manager who then hired Grady Little to be his Manager. Yes the Grady Little that was made the Red Sox scapegoat after their loss to the Yankees for leaving Martinez in to long. I personally love the call to bring in Grady. Players love hiim and will do anything for him.
The first big signing was Rafael Furcal at shortstop, then Bill Mueller at third base and today they signed Nomar Garciaparra for first base I would guess. They traded Milton Bradley and Antonio Perez to the A's for Andre Ethier, last year's Texas League player of the year who at 23 batted .319 with 18 home runs and 80 runs batted in for Midland, TX. And finally they signed catcher Sandy Alomar Jr. to back up and mentor Dioner Navarro.
Supposedly the Dodgers have spoken with Roger Clemens agent... not sure he would see the Dodgers as a World Series contender so I doubt he would be interested. But the Dodgers do need pitching as Edwin Jackson still doesn't seem to be ready for the bigs. Stay tuned.
An early guess at a lineup for next year:
C - Dioner Navarro
3B - Bill Mueller
SS - Rafael Furcal
2B - Jeff Kent
1B - Nomar Garciaparra
LF - Jayson Werth
CF - JD Drew
RF - Jose Cruz Jr.
SP - Brad Penny
SP - Derek Lowe
SP - Odalis Perez
SP - DJ Houlton
Bull Pen - Duaner Sanchez
Bull Pen - Yhency Brazoban
Closer - Eric Gagne

If you are from Indiana, how did you become a Dodger fan?
Glad you asked... Being from Indiana, we don't have an MLB team, so you end up following another team. My Grandpa was a die hard Cubs fan, my Dad a big Mets fan having grown up in NY. My Mom was a Reds fan and I had to have my own team.
In the 70s, The Dodgers made the World Series 3 times, 74, 77 and 78. That meant they were on TV and after hearing Vin Scully do some weekend games, I had my team. And I have been following them ever since.
I was fortunate to make it to Chavez Ravine in 2001 and witness a game from the Blue seats.
And the mlb.com package this last year allowed me to watch and listen to Vin Scully nearly every night. I will be subscribing again this year to keep up with the Mr. Scully and the Dodgers.
It's always interesting to hear how people become fans of teams when there aren't teams in their hometown.
Good luck to your dodgers this year
