He can bring the Hoosiers to Ft. Wayne for a game with IPFW... so we should root for him to do well this year and keep his job.

Hmmm... lets think about this a little bit...
Dane Fife, former Hoosier fan favorite is now coaching at IPFW. Northern Indiana is filled with IU Alumni. This is a no brainer for IU whether Davis is coaching or not. Asking Ft. Wayne fans to root for Mike Davis so they could get IU to come to IPFW in future years is ridiculous.
Oh and I like the following comment just thrown in the middle of the article... "Don’t hold your breath for Texas Tech." Without any additional commentary. I'd love to play poker with Mr. Hayes... he kinds tipped off his hand with that comment.
And what is with the NCAA first round talk? Nothing against the Coliseum, but it only holds 9K. Why in the world would the NCAA bring a first round tournament location to a place that only holds 9K when they can go to Indy for 35K, Chicago for 22K, Cleveland for 20K, Detroit for 22K, Columbus for 20K.
What a stupid article on the day before IPFW plays Notre Dame in Dane's first sell-out.
