I was really wrong!
Mike is a genious. Not only does he have "journalists" doing his dirty work pitching that contract extension... he now has them writing articles about how they are actively rooting for him. Brilliant!

But I was sitting in the coaches' locker room shortly before tipoff when Herbert walked in to wish Davis luck. "I need to take off my coat first so I can give my man some love," Herbert said, and the two embraced like old friends. I think it's safe to say Davis has a strong ally sitting in the president's chair.
I think that pretty much confirms what everyone said at the end of last year. Greenspan's hands were tied.
