Flavor of the Week
I just don't see this guy as the solution... at all. Very well could be a one hit wonder.
I don't see him as a one-hit wonder, but he certainly needs some success to be considered for a position at a school like IU. I could see him riding this current buzz wave into a job at a school like Missouri, but not IU.

I thought this was a funny article. It's so rediculously wrong; riddled with inaccuracies and unsupported statements. It's probably written by a guy who's a couple thousand miles away from the program, caught the two games in the tourney this year and surfed around to find out what else happened over the last few years.
Let's see:
-Duke was a home game
-We'll be better off w/ DJ instead of Marco so that won't actually be a loss
-Look, Strickland is not an Auburn transfer.
-Strickland is a loss, but Calloway stepped up big toward the end of the year and if he can improve his shot over the summer, he'll be a solid replacement.
-Raliff already said that he was coming back for sure.
-Vaden still hasn't made himself clear, but hasn't been saying he is still planning on leaving either.
-DJ won't leave. He's not going to Ole Miss or wherever Davis ends up, to sit out for another year just so he can play his one season before going pro. I'd say he's more likely to go pro now than leave.
-Vance spends the whole article ripping on Davis and then ends it by saying "More so than the players, losing Mike Davis is the biggest loss of all. Did those so-called faithful fans happen to think of that when they called for his head on that metaphoric platter?" This is after him saying that all of the best players and recruits are leaving with Davis and it's the fault of the IU fans.
The bottom line is that this grand exodus that Vance is predicting isn't going to happen. IU will have a hard time selecting a coach who will perform worse than Davis. Just watching the two games in the tourney was the ugliest thing i've ever seen.
