Will Mark Few give up the perfect situation in the Northwest for an opportunity to coach at IU?
Fox59 in Indianapolis sure thinks so as they reported last night that the deal is done and waiting for Gonzaga to finish out the year.

Watching the first half of the Zags game tonight and I would take Few any day of the week. They are destroying UCLA.
Few and the Zags blow 17 pt second half lead. I sure hope Fox59 is full of crap.
Gonzaga is a good team and few has done an excellent job as the lead. Match his record up against any of the other coaching prospects and
" Few's career record is 159-37 in his six years as head coach following 10 years on the Bulldogs bench as an assistant. The 159 victories tie him with Roy Williams for most victories by a NCAA Division I sixth-year head coach"
In seven seasons at Gonzaga:
-seven trips to the tourney
-six conference titles
-five regular season titles
-two Sweet 16 and three NCAA Second Round appearances in his six trips to the tourney as a head coach
Compare that to Alford and co. and his record speaks for itself. The downside to Few as I see it is his lack of IU and Indiana ties.
Alas, it appears that he's not interested:

Although, ESPN reported the day before yesterday that Alford was interviewing with Mizzou (untrue), IU only had two cadidates: Whitman and Gillespie (now apparently untrue) and before that, that Alford was a lock at IU. It seems like IU is keeping a pretty tight seal on the selection process.
I think Few would be a great coach at IU. His record speaks for itself. Last night's scenario happens every year to great coaches.
Don't believe a thing Andy Katz reports. He comes from the "throw every possible scenario into different articles and then when 1 of 10 comes true point to that one and say I told you so" school of journalism.
