A few comments on today's action... My picks suck... But I love the underdog getting wins!
Pacific had Boston College beaten if not for a bail out call by the zebras. That would have messed up some brackets.
Wichita State did the MVC proud beating a Big East team. Shut up Packer!
UW-Milwaukee did the Horizon League Proud taking out Oklahoma... Shut up Packer!
I feel for Winthrop... they played a heck of a game but lost to Tennessee on an incredible last second shot.
Alabama took out Marquette - Tom Crean's Marquette team didn't play a lick of defense... until they were down 10 with 4 minutes to go. Some solid defense and incredible play from the Indiana freshman Dominic James took this one to the wire. DJ can play... he would have looked good in Cream and Crimson. On a side note... I had no idea that Tom Crean's wife is Jim Harbaugh's sister.
Nevada proved that their #5 ranking was a bit OVERRATED as Montana kicked them out. I'm thinking GW at #5 and Nevada at #8 would have been a bit more accurate.
I love Iona's Soliver's mohawk... but it wasn't enough to stay with LSU in the second half.
What a brain fade at the end of regulation for UNC-W... you can't foul a guy shooting 3 when you are up 2. Fortunately it didn't end for UNC-W as they only made 2. Another OT game despite an 18 pt second half lead for UNC-W... that was a meltdown. And George Washington took advantage in the OT and stole a win.
Amazing comeback from Gonzaga as they were all but dead against Xavier. Morrison is a freak... but I like him.
How bizarre was the start of the Illini vs Air Force game? An empty stadium as the game started for TV before the fans for the 2nd session were let back in.
What was with no HDTV in Greensboro for Duke? Of all the locations... I thought CBS would have it there. I guess that is okay because the HDTV Cameras CBS owns are CRAP. The picture quality is awful compared to the ESPN cameras at the World Baseball Classic.
Did I call the Texas A&M upset of Syracuse or what? It wasn't even close.
Now I remember why I loved seeing Steve Fisher on the Michigan Bench.
