I feel cheated...

of an HOUR of my life today. Every time I went to a clock and sprung it forward an hour... I lost an hour.

What a dumb idea.

It is going to get worse. Next year, DST will be extended three more weeks, into November. Western Indiana won't have daylight until almost 9:00am.

There is a new book called, "Spring Forward." I don't remember the author. He says there is no proof anywhere, ever that Daylight Saving Time saves energy. He says the only unambiguous influence is on golfing, which benefits greatly. This author/expert was asked what he thought about DST for Indiana, and he said it was ridiculous.
To be fair, the author says DST is nice because it gives you "nice long evenings in the summer." But he says Indiana has daylight past 8:30pm in the summer anyway. and DST wasn't necessary here.

I'm not saying this guy's opinion should matter, just because he wrote a book. But we already know that the average Hoosier's opinion doesn't matter.

I'll have to look for that book. I had to shake my head tonight when I was outside at 8:15 and it was still light out... and it is April 3rd.

But I think I will take advantage of the daylight and hit the golf course Wednesday after work.
