The NBA is rigged. Period. End of Story. It's as bad as WWE. Who didn't see the NBA giving Shaq his 4th and annointing Dwayne Wade the next superstar?
I ended up watching 2 games all season. I was able to attend the Pacers/Sixers game to begin the season. And I watched Game 6 last night.
The NBA wanted a Heat win. So much so, that when Dallas took a big lead early, the whistles came out and everytime Wade touched the ball a mystery foul occurred. How many free throws did Wade shoot this series? Way too many. But the NBA got what they wanted. And now I remember why I only watched 2 games all season. One-on-one basketball sux. Next year I'll try to lower that number... by 2.

1. Bad officiating affects every sport to a great degree. you watch baseball, where the strike zone is as great a fiction as the NBA phantom foul.
2. It is true that Wade got every possible preference in game 6. But the margin of victory was Alonzo Mourning's five blocked shots, which were all heart.
I agree that the NBA is a mess, but it might be moving in the right direction.
Might be moving in the right direction??? Does that mean this was the last year for the NBA?
The strike zone in baseball is terribly inconsistent from one umpire to another. But umpiring is fairly consistent from player to player, which is not even close true in the NBA. As the brilliant Bob Knight once said, "If there's an NBA game on Channel 5 and two fireflies making love on Channel 4, I'll watch Channel 4, even if it comes in a little fuzzy."
Apparently, Channel 4 must be in high def. Men and their nature shows...
Sadly ABC was in HD for Game 6... which is one of the reasons why I watched. Probably the worst HD program I've seen in a while. I'll take the Jeff Corwin Experience, Wildfire Rescue or Buggin' with Ruud anyday over the NBA.
