IU got off to a good start in 2006 with a 39-20 win over Western Michigan. The points came from every possible scenario. A nice opening drive ending with a TD catch by Andrew Means from Blake Powers in the corner of the endzone, an interception by Chris Phillips returned for a TD, a punt return with a reverse from Lance Bennett to Tracy Porter that went for a TD, a pass from McFarland to Thigpen for a TD, a 2 yd dive from Josiah Sears for a TD and 2 FGs from Austin Carr.

I don't know if it was me just hoping but the team looked alot faster this year. That Phillips guy ran away from everyone on that INT TD. Here's to a great year and a bowl trip.
