Congrats to Lukas Rossi who tonight became the lead singer of Supernova. Great choice Tommy, Jason and Gilby.

Do we always have to disagree? Gretchen and I couldn't stand Lukas; his selection only confirms for me that the Supernova guys were looking for someone to use for a tour and an album then throw away. All of the other candidates in the final five were more appealing than Lukas.
Plus, Gilby basically admitted last night that they were going w/ Lukas b/c he was the top vote-getter, not necessarily b/c he was what they were looking for. They just hope that votes translate into ticket and album sales.
Didn't pretty much all of Supernova and Navarro offer to play on Dilana and Storm's album/tour efforts? How sincere can they be towards Supernova if they're offering themselves out to anything they can be a part of?
Anyways, we like the show, but are far from members of the Rossi Posse. Love the blog Steve, even if it does need more Boilers ;)

I really liked Dilana and expected her to get the gig. She definitely would have brought a sound that outside of Evanescence isn't in the mainstream. Could have differentiated Supernova and given them some staying power.
I think Gilby wanted Dilana and I think Jason wanted Lukas. Ultimately I'm guessing Tommy Lee didn't want to have a bunch of guy groupies around and broke the tie ;-)
I'm not a fan of Lukas' strutting... but the boy can sing and fits their original music well. And I think you and Gretchen are right... Supernova will exist for 1 album and 1 tour and that will be all.
Personally I still like Marty the best and was bummed I missed him when he came to Indy with his band over the summer.
I hope you'll consider commenting on other reality shows too. I'm still reeling over last night's episode of "Wife Swap" with the family of pirates.

Can't say that I saw Wife Swap... however, had I known about Pirates being on it, I would have watched for sure.
