Enough already... tonight's game can't start soon enough so the talking heads on sports radio can talk about something else.
If not for HDTV, no one would have even noticed the brown smudge on Rogers' left hand. And for everyone who seems to think that his performance was tainted... the first inning was his worst... I seem to remember 7 zeros after he washed his hand.

Pine tar (or many other substances) stay sticky even after the visible portion is washed off.
Exactly... every pitcher does it... that is the reason LaRussa didn't make a big deal about it. He sure didn't want blue checking the tackiness of Carpenter's hand in game 3.
