What a great day for us Hoosiers. Eric is an incredible talent. I saw a few of his games at North Central last year and that kid can PLAY!
True it'll help the team (for a year at least). But I can't say I care for the recruiting tactics all that much.

What recruiting tactics? When Eric comes to Bloomington for unofficial visits, should Sampson call the IUPD and have him arrested and extradicted to Champaign?
Gordon didn't want to play for Davis... period! Last fall IU's wonderful administration gave Davis their full support... so Gordon gave a VERBAL to Illinois. Everything changed when Davis left and Sampson came in. Who can blame Eric for wanting to look into playing for the school he grew up rooting for? And who can blame Sampson for talking to him?
If people are looking for issues with recruiting tactics... maybe they should look a little more closely at Roy Williams.
If Gordon wanted to play for IU so bad, why did it take the hiring of so many family friends in order to seal the deal?
Sampson is Davis version 2.0. He might win a few more games because he actually knows something about basketball. But I don't think he'll do anything much to improve the image of the program. He's dirty. Maybe not Tark or Roy Williams dirty. But dirty nonetheless.
And IU is just one NCAA sanctioning away from players like Gordon fleeing back to Illinois.
