Texas Tech went to 2-0 with a victory over Gardner Webb giving coach Knight his 871st victory. Coach Knight now trails Adolph Rupp (876) by 5 wins and Dean Smith (879) by 8 wins.

And guess what... ESPN is trying to make a mountain out of a molehill again with Breaking News saying Knight "Slapped a Player" when all he did was tap Prince under the chin to get his attention as he was looking down. At least Fran Fraschilla called it correctly when he said "a hundred coaches will do the same thing this season. It's called coaching." I'm sure by morning Knight will have slayed a Prince... so not funny!

I am sick of the media. Let Coach Knight coach. Last night, Coach Fife of the IPFW mastodons, grabbed Kyle Savely, a guard, and shook him with force to get his attention. He benched him as well for the rest of the game. Kyle made a major mistake that might have caused them to lose the game. Have you heard anything about Coach Fife and his "abuse" to a player? Of course not. It is not Bob Knight. I wish Coach Knight the very best as he becomes the winningest active coach in basketball. HE EARNED IT!
