First off, I think I found a Michigan fan that outdid every obnoxious Bucknut fan I've ever run across. Even before kickoff, this guy just kept ripping on how IU should just eliminate their football program, how badly IU always sucks, how every player to ever wear the uniform is a loser... and on and on and on... non-stop. Finally an IU fan sitting right in front of him turned around and told him to shut the F-up. This Michigan guy proceeds to get up, walk up to an usher and claim that he is being threatened by an IU fan. The usher proceeds to ask the IU season ticket holder sitting in front of this guy to leave... that's when all the IU fans around him came to the guys aid and were able to convince the usher to let the IU guy stay. After the usher left, the Michigan fan just started laughing, then went right back into the obnoxious taunting. This guy was so bad that I'm tempted to root for OSU next week, just so this guy has an AWFUL off season.
Back to the game... after seeing Michigan's defense in person... that may be the best collegiate defense I've ever witnessed. The size on the defensive line is unbelievable and they are all quick. Couple that with linebackers that are NFL sized with speed and hitting ability and you cannot run against Michigan. There is a reason teams are averaging 36 yards rushing and 9 pts a game.
Michigan 34 - IU 3
It wasn't much of a game... 5th year seniors playing against true freshman is and always will be a mismatch. When we next see Michigan, these freshman will be seniors. Now that will be interesting.
The good thing about the game next week is that one set of fans are going to be really upset. The bad thing about the game next week is that one set of fans are going to be really happy.
So... since that cancels everything out... I think I will have to go with the team that will most mess up the BCS... and that might just be Michigan.
