After the pollsters were able to add their influence, the following bowl lineups have been set.
Championship Game: Ohio State 12-0 vs Florida 12-1
Rose Bowl: USC 10-2 vs Michigan 11-1
Fiesta Bowl: Boise State 12-0 vs Oklahoma 11-2
Sugar Bowl: Notre Dame 10-2 vs LSU 10-2
Orange Bowl: Louisville 11-1 vs Wake Forest 11-2
On the outside...
Wisconsin 11-1 having to play in the Capital One Bowl because the BCS has a 2 school from the same conference maximum rule.
I guess it is pretty appropriate that Fox is broadcasting the BCS championship game... a fair and balanced network for a fair and balanced BCS... yeah right! Did anyone find it interesting that Fox had live cameras at Florida for their big BSC show but not at Michigan? Could it be because we all knew that it was going to be Florida since the AP Poll and the Coaches Poll came out earlier today and both had Florida leapfrogging Michigan.
The only good thing here is that OSU will destroy Florida to win the National Championship, Michigan will win a tight game with USC at the Rose Bowl and Wisconsin will beat Arkansas badly to win the Capitol One Bowl and the B10 will finish 1,2,3!
At least all is back to normal at the Rose Bowl with a B10-Pac10 matchup.
Time for a PLAYOFF!!!

A playoff is a must! The bowl game fat cats just don't get it.
Big 10 all the way. I like your idea of a 1,2,3 finish. Especially since all the pundits are saying that the B10 is down. What idiots!
College football is an eleven week playoff as it is. A single-elimination playoff will only make things worse.
Riddle me this: How often does the team with the best regualar season record (i.e. "the best team") win the Super Bowl? Or, how often does the team with the best record win the NCAA B-ball tournament?
The answer in both cases is hardly ever. Definitely under 50%.
If an eight-team playoff were put in place for college football (as is most commonly proposed) I guarentee that within the first three years you will have a game where #4 plays #6 for the championship. And there will be a great outcry for the reinstating of the old BCS system.
But Corkster, a championship game where #4 plays #6 would be OUTSTANDING! And exactly why we need a playoff... either of those teams would have earned the championship by beating 3 top 8 teams the last 3 weeks of the season.
And as for an eleven week playoff... it can't be when you have the chance of multiple teams ending the season with the same record. You might as well just have a coin flip.
Bring on a playoff... I'll settle for 8, but I think 16 can work and will be outlining my plan shortly.
Hey Corkster, if the team with the best regular season record did always win the Super Bowl or the NCAA, would we watch a tournament? No, we are always pulling for the little guy. How great would it have been to see Boise State win a game or 2 in a playoff system this year?
You still need the regular season to mean something but it will in getting you in the playoffs.
I want a playoff.
Don't get me wrong. I think a playoff would be fun to watch and add a lot of drama (not to mention TV revenue) to the season.
The most common argument I hear for adding a post-season is to determine who truly is the best college team.
My point is simply this: A playoff system WILL NOT consistently produce the best team as national champion. Sometimes it will. And sometimes it won't.
Let's just be honest about the reason why we want to see a tournament. I don't think any of us watch the NCAA b-ball tournament hoping that it will result in telling us who the best college basketball team was for that year. We get all jazzed up because we know there will be upsets of better teams by worse teams and because practically everyone's alma mater has a shot at the title.
If the justification for it is shifted away from proving who "the best" is, then I'm fine with having a playoff.
I see where you are coming from and I'm with ya Corkster.
