Though I liked what I saw today. This IU team under Sampson is starting to take on an identity of playing in your face man to man defense, along with all out effort at rebounding. The offense still takes way too many bad shots. But you can tell Sampson is trying to get them to be aggressive on the offensive end and it will take a while for these guys to understand that the extra pass will lead to an even better shot. Today they couldn't hit the broad side of a barn... some of that was due to jacking up some quick shots and some had to go to the environment they were playing in. 22,000 rabid blue bloods will make it a tougher environment. But ultimately games like these will really help come B10 season... and next year UK has to come to Bloomington.
UK 59 - IU 54
22 offensive rebounds and 11 steals led to IU shooting 72 shots to Kentucky's 49... however both teams made 22 of their attempts with UK getting to the line much more. Kudos have to go to both DJ and Lance on the defensive end knowing Allen was out with Mono. Neither got in foul trouble, but I do believe both were gassed down the stretch after playing 39 and 37 minutes apiece.

Rumor has it Steve that you are becoming a fair weather fan. It seems that you have become a real Butler fan since they only have one loss. Does this mean you will also be a Purdue follower since they only have one loss. BOILERUP!!
