In another game that ZERO of the "experts" gave the Colts a chance, the Colts won.
15-6 in Baltimore!
The Defense came up HUGE forcing 3 TOs and preventing the Ravens from getting in the Red Zone but 1 time. Peyton struggled against a VERY GOOD Ravens defense, but came up big in 2 key series... one when the Colts took over at the 1 yard line, not only did Peyton get the Colts out of their own end, he got them in Vinateri's range for 3 points... the 2nd was with 7 minutes left he and the offense kept the ball out of the Ravens hands and drove the Colts down the field on the back of Dominic Rhodes for another Vinateri FG to clinch the win.
Kudos to the entire defense for another outstanding performance.
Kudos to Joseph Addai for some bring runs in that first series that led to 3 pts and set the physical tone of the game.
Kudos to Dominic Rhodes for some strong running while protecting the ball in that last series where the Ravens were doing all they could to get that ball back.
and most of all...
Kudos to Adam Vinateri for nailing all 5 of his kicks tonight. As Dungy said on that last kick... Adam, you are "MONEY!"
Go Pats... Indy needs to host the AFC Championship game next week.
But either way I pity the opposing team as Peyton, Marvin, Reggie, and Dallas are primed for a 5 TD game.
GO COLTS!

That was an absolutely amazing performance from the defense. They absolutey shut down the Raven's Offense.
I was amazed at how physical the Colts were on Offense. Addai and Rhodes just pounded the ball. Big Play Ray, Pryce and Scott all had to be helped off the field. So Sorry!
Go Pats! I want a home game for the AFC Championship.
From reading other posts, I am sure you are an WNDE, The Drive listener. So, I am just waiting with anticipation to hear from Ravens Dale!!!
Go Colts!!!
BTW - There was ONE "expert" that called a Colts victory. Chris Berman on ESPN... He is the only one I saw.
I have a feeling Ravens Dale will be MIA for quite a long time... and that's too bad... well not really.
I have a hard time considering the Swami as an expert since his picks are normally the kiss of death ;-)
I love the experts on Sunday all saying the the Ravens gave it to the Colts. Yeah that's right if the Ravens would have just run Lewis more they would have destroyed the Colts... Jeez.
Congratulations to Indy on the victory. The better team won on Saturday.
I find it interesting reading the perspective of Colts fans. I saw a lot of people picking the Colts last week. (I was especially miffed when one of the SI guys picked Indy to win 31-27!) Granted, the majority that I saw were picking the Ravens (when all 3 guys on CBS picked us I knew we were in trouble!) but it certainly wasn't the overwhelming majority.
Having watched every Ravens game at least twice this year, I would say that that was probably one of their 3 worst performances. But a lot of that had to do with the Colts. They were more physical than I was expecting, especially defensively. Their tackling was outstanding and the 3 fumbles they caused were huge (only 2 counted because of the penalty - but even that cost the Ravens about 30 yards of field position). The Ravens have been criticized for throwing short of the first down marker on 3rd downs but they did that a lot this year and converted with yards after the catch. Indy's tackling, especially in the secondary, prevented that from happening Saturday. As a result, the Ravens couldn't get into a rhythm offensively.
I was disappointed the Ravens abandoned the run down by just 6 in the 2nd half, especially with the success they had in the 2nd quarter. I'm not convinced it would have changed the outcome, but I would have liked to have seen what would have happened. Again, I don't think I saw any "expert" say the Ravens would have "destroyed the Colts" if they had run Lewis more.
I'm also not sure I agree with how physical the Colts were on offense. The last drive was impressive, no doubt. But the Ravens were trying to tackle the ball way too much. Prior to that the Colts were getting nothing on the ground (Addai 18 carries - 39 yds). And the biggest play on that drive was Dallas Clark's tremendous 3rd down catch.
I think this is the Colts year. They are really brimming with confidence and the breaks that haven't gone their way in the past (e.g. Big Ben's shoestring tackle) are going their way this year (Vinitari's crossbar FG, 2 Manning INT's broken up by Ray Lewis). I think the Colts got a big break with the Chargers losing. Indy is better than New England and now knows they can beat them. I agree with Steve - I think they may explode offensively. I'm not impressed with New England. I think they win a lot of games with their "aura." I don't think Indy will be intimidated. As painful as it will be to see, I think Irsay & Manning will be holding the Lombardi trophy in 3 weeks.
Darren,
I'm glad to see you doing okay. As much enjoyment as I got out of that win... I did pause thinking of the pain you were in my friend.
Good thoughts above.
The "experts" I referenced on Sunday were the jackasses on Fox Radio. I was driving around running some errands Sunday morning and they were absolute morons.
You must really be thanking ESPN for running the Super Bowl III highlight show just now. Watching Unitas performance on those 2 drives in the 4th quarter is just a thing of beauty.
At least we agree on Basketball... GO HOOSIERS!!!
