IU Football Takes a Dump at NW...

Thanks Andy for calling this one. Once again IU had chance after chance and kept just blowing them. 3 turnovers killed them. Lynch or Canada, what were you thinking having Chappell throw a short out at that point in the game? Up 14-3 at the half is a heck of a lot different than 14-10.

And I still have no idea what the replay official was looking at on that last play. It was either an in the grasp sack as Lewis' knee never touched down, or it was an incomplete pass with the potential for grounding to be called, but it was NOT a fumble. Can't wait to get another apology on Sunday from the Big 10 for a blown call.

You're correct on all accounts but I'm also disappointed in the defense. If NW doesn't throw 2 INTs in the end zone, IU's not even in the game.

But at least IU football doesn't cheat. I'd rather have a mediocre but rule-abiding team than a top 10, NCAA-sanctioned team any day!

I hope my crystal ball wrong this week...because it looks bad for the Hoosiers. I think we COULD win, but this team is now under pressure. And, after last week's play calling (I posted a similar comment about the flat pass in the comments section of the Star's article on the Bucket Game today), I am not convinced the players and coaches can get that killer instinct going in the heat of battle. Plus, IU just hasn't been able to get up for the rivalry in recent years. I hope we can pull the upset...I'd hate to see this season wasted. After all, this IS the year...no OSU and no Michigan on the schedule. But the choking against PSU and NW gives me bad vibes. They threw those games away (I know, I ended a sentence with a preposition...Kay would be ashamed). It should be a good game, just hope they didn't put too much pressure on themselves...really wishin' we would have gotten that last badly-needed win at NW. Oh, and the good news is I have the B10 Network...the bad news is I flipped it on just in time to see the soccer boys lose the B10 tournament final to the Buckeyes in a 2OT shootout.
