Wow... for the last 18 years I watched the selection show with great interest to see where IU would be playing... this year was just plain depressing. No IU in the dance led to very little interest on my part. But being the basketball fan I am, that little bit of interest had me watching and boy did the selection committee hose the B10. Granted the B10 is WAY down! Illinois won the B10 regular season and got a 5 seed. This was about right. Wisconsin finished the season by beating Illinois in the B10 Tourney and ranked 10th overall in both polls... and they got a 6 seed? Are you kidding me? The committee felt there were 20 teams better than Wisconsin... what were they smoking? Cincinnati? Providence? Florida? Syracuse? Give me a break. And what about 21st ranked 25-3 Utah St? Left out? Good Job Committee... did you let Myles Brand in the room?
At least they got it right by giving St. Josephs a well deserved #1 seed. And Billy Packer... JUST SHUT UP! We don't care about your stupid drivel... you speak and the world hears... blah, blah, blah! Why can't CBS dump your sorry ass! You are terrible!
