What a sham... the top player in college basketball last year and the top point guard in the country, Jameer Nelson drops to number 20... 8 high school kids are drafted in the top 19... with Dwight Howard, a high school player out of Atlanta being the overall top pick by Orlando.
Robert Swift, a high schooler out of California worked out for Boston and they told him they would pick him with one of their 3 first round picks. In turn he didn't work out for any other team. Suddenly word around the league is that Boston is going to get a steal and Swift is a must have. Seattle ends up taking him 12th without seeing him work out.
What a Joke the NBA draft has become. It is better to be unproven than proven. Why should anyone go to College? A player will never be worth more than they are coming right out of high school. No wonder the NBA on-court product sucks.
