Red Sox 1 - Cards 0

I guess when you have the two best offenses in baseball, it isn't going to be a pitcher's battle. But you would think that if the Sox scored 9 runs, they wouldn't be tied in the bottom of the 8th. Tied they were, until Mark Bellhorn came through with a dramatic clanker off the Right Field Foul pole for a 2-run go ahead HR that would prove to be enough for Keith Foulke.

Good thing the Sox bats were on fire because their defense fell back into its early season error prone habits. 4 errors in total with ManRam having 2 in a row.

Boston 11 - St. Louis 9

Note to Boston... I know Aerosmith and Steven Tyler are hometown boys, but after what Tyler did to the National Anthem at Indy 2 years ago... they should never let him sing... er... scream it again. It was AWFUL!!!!
