IRL Season Opener

Spring is here as the Indy Cars take to the track in Homestead today.

Tomas Scheckter put the revamped Chevy on the pole. It looks like Honda may have some competition this year. That is if Tomas can get out from underneath that black cloud that follows him around. I find it interesting that Toyota didn't make any gains in the offseason. The Toyota was well off the pace with only the Penske drivers even within 2 MPH. Cheever's team which switched from Chevy to Toyota this year qualified 17th and 19th a full 5 MPH off the pole. That's gotta burn Eddie's butt.

Can't wait to see ESPN's coverage. They are going to be utilizing a split screen during commericals so we don't miss any racing. And they are broadcasting in car cameras on ESPN2. I brought my 20in TV from the bedroom and set it up right next to the Big Screen so I can watch both. Forget Picture in Picture... this is better!

Go Tomas!

The side by side viewing was great until the last 7 minutes of the race! The signal cut out and came back after the checker.

Does Tony need to be owning a team in the league that he owns?
