Hmmm... I thought one of the big concerns about firing Davis was that players would leave?
Will Bracey be next?
Hmmm... they seem to be doing that because IU kept him.
I wish Patrick well. I always liked his energy, I just never thought IU utilized him to the best of his abilities. He is a wing player who could have been a good rebounder opposite a big man like DJ White. Instead he was simply used as a big man trying to defend guys much bigger than him. Easy to get in foul trouble that way.
I am amazed at all the Davis lovers on Peegs that are ripping Ewing. Here are some of the better quotes.
"He's a guy that wouldn't have gotten any playing time next year. "
"The IU team is much better off without him."
"Good Riddance... he's nothing like his daddy."
"Is there a Barnyard League??? There he can't foul out, or have to sit most of the game with 3 or 4 quick fouls."
"he really was just a mid-major talent anyway"
"Oh i thought the reason he was leaving is that even Mike Davis knew he sucked, and when Davis told him that he cried, and then transfered...but not before fouling just one more time in davis's office."
"Davis tried to give him minutes but...Ewing could not stay out of foul trouble. Let's face it his b-ball instincts were not that great."
"Ewing wasn't highly sought after in the first place. He was just held to high standards by retard fans because oh his name and athleticism. It was clear that he wasn't capable of contributing consistently unless he bulked up and worked on his fundamentals. He didn't really accomplish either."
"PE2 not a big loss... what did we really lose here? 10-15 minutes and four quick fouls???He was more frustrating than he was good. Not a big loss outside of some good PR and some on-the-court excitement."
