NBA Age Limit and Odon Recruiting

So I remember back to last year when everyone was predicting that Greg Oden would be the #1 pick in the NBA draft in 2006. Yet Mike Davis came out and said "Oden is coming to IU. We've got him."

Well the NBA instituted an age limit of 19 beginning next year, which will prevent Oden from going straight to the NBA, and in turn, guarantee that he will play at least one year in college.

So today, the Star following up on a comment Odon and Conley made Wednesday night after the Indiana All-Star's Junior Senior game in Richmond, printed the following:

Oden planning to attend Ohio St - Indy Star

And who is that coaching over there at OSU? Oh that's right, its Thad Matta. Former Butler coach and one that not only knows all the coaches in the state of Indiana, but is respected by them.

So not only is Davis not getting Indiana recruits, they are going to other B10 schools where they will dominate IU.

I hope Herbert and Greenspan look back on their decision to not only keep Davis, but give him a $300,000 bonus and a $100,000 raise fondly as the IU BBall program continues in its DEATH SPIRAL!
